Manifesting a Business Partner someone beside me
You've been doing this alone for a while, or you've just started the conversation with someone about doing it together. There's no verdict here about whether they say yes to joining you. This is the scene of actually working alongside someone else, once they're already there.
- A full script for a business partner, written in the present tense and ready to read tonight.
- Shorter versions — one for falling asleep, one for the morning, and one line to carry with you.
- How to use it: Once you're actually working alongside someone, not while you're still deciding whether to ask them, is when this is useful.
- The common mistake: Goodwill carries a partnership through its first good weeks and not much further than that.
The script
Read it slowly, in the present tense, as though it has already happened. It is written to be spoken aloud, but silently is fine.
We're both looking at the same screen, which is new; most of the decisions up to now have been made in my own head, at my own kitchen table. She points at a line in the plan and says what she actually thinks, not what she assumes I want to hear, and I do the same back. There's a task I've been putting off for weeks because I don't like doing it, and I say so out loud, and it turns out she doesn't mind it at all. We split the afternoon that way, not evenly by the clock, but by what each of us is actually good at and willing to do. When a decision needs making, I say my read on it and wait to hear hers before either of us commits, and neither read has to win completely. It's slower in some ways than deciding alone used to be. It's also the first time in months the whole weight of this hasn't been sitting on one set of shoulders. By the end of the afternoon there's a shared list, both our names on different parts of it, and neither of us wrote the whole thing alone.
Shorter versions
Two for the ends of the day, and one line to carry through the middle of it.
The list from today has two names on it, not one. I'm not carrying the whole plan by myself tonight, and there's a particular kind of quiet that comes with that, not relief exactly, just less weight. Tomorrow's problems are still going to be there, but they won't be only mine to solve. I let that be enough to close the day on.
A message from my business partner is waiting before I've even opened my own list, a thought on yesterday's problem, or a question about today's. I read it properly before I decide anything alone, the way I'm learning to now. It's a different kind of morning than the ones where every call was mine by default. Today, some of it isn't.
Not every decision is mine alone to carry anymore. That changes today's shape.
How to use it
Once you're actually working alongside someone, not while you're still deciding whether to ask them, is when this is useful. It won't make someone say yes to partnering with you, and it won't settle who's right in a disagreement; it's meant to steady the adjustment of sharing decisions after making them alone. Use it before a call where you'll need to actually listen, not just wait your turn to talk.
The mistake to avoid
Goodwill carries a partnership through its first good weeks and not much further than that. What actually holds it up is the unglamorous groundwork done early, who decides what, who's owed what, how a disagreement gets settled, and scripting the ease of working alongside someone instead of doing that groundwork tends to let the gap surface later, at a worse moment.
Questions
Does manifesting help me find the right business partner?
It won't vet someone's character or work ethic for you; a real conversation, a trial project and clear terms do that. It can steady the adjustment of actually working alongside someone, once you've already found them.
How do we decide who owns what percentage?
That's a legal and financial conversation worth having properly, usually with paperwork and sometimes advice from someone qualified, not something a script settles.
What if we disagree on something important?
Then you talk it through the way any two people running something together have to, ideally with how you'll handle disagreement decided before you're in one. This page is about the working relationship, not the outcome of any one argument.
Have this written about you
The script above is written for anyone. Perla asks about your actual situation, writes it as a present-tense narrative and reads it back to you — in a calm voice or your own, recorded once. One ritual instead of ten apps.
